Pain relief

By the time you go home you will only require oral analgesia, with or without anti-inflammatory drugs. Depending on you operation you will need regular panadol for up to a week.  More powerful drugs, such as Tramol, Panadeine or Panadeine Forte can be given in panadol with or without anti-inflammatory drugs in not sufficient. One of the side effects of these drugs is constipation.

The usual mistake is that patients stop their pain killing drug too soon.

You need help or advice.
